RGTC hires first executive director
With an eye to even better serving our communities and homeowners, Rebuilding Together Geneseo/Cambridge has hired its first-ever executive director.
Joni Conrad, a resident of Geneseo, joined the organization April 1 and is working on her first task, setting up RTGC’s first-ever office in Hammond House, Wells Street, Geneseo. As executive director, she is responsible for community outreach, marketing and fundraising.
A Geneseo native, Joni returned to the midwest in December 2006 after a 22-year absence. She joins RGTC with over 13 years of nonprofit marketing and public relations experience. She most recently served as Communications Specialist for CONCERN, a child welfare social services agency in Pennsylvanian and Maryland. Prior to that position she was Marketing Specialist for Berks County Intermediate Unit, an educational services agency in Pennsylvania. Her additional experience includes working with newspapers and advertising agencies and a stint at Walt Disney World, Florida.
And what attracted Joni to Rebuilding Together Geneseo/Cambridge? “As my experience shows, I’ve always been attracted to the nonprofit setting, and I found Rebuilding Together’s mission and the immediate and personal impact it makes in its homeowners’ lives very compelling,” Joni said. “This is an exciting time for the organization and I’m thrilled to part of it.”
