While Rebuilding Together Geneseo/Cambridge is best known for all the projects completed in April on National Rebuilding Day, our work is not limited to a one-day event. In addition to the home repairs completed on spring and fall work days, we provide home modification projects and install wheelchair ramps year-round .
-
In fact, wheelchair ramps have become a booming business for RTGC! Since our fall work day, we have installed three ramps and have another three waiting final approval. Thanks to the dedicated volunteers who help build the modules and who install these needed ramps.
-
Recent ramp projects have included an elderly woman recovering from a stroke who can leave home to attend church and her doctor appointments, a young teen with paralysis issues who can more easily attend school, and a father who could leave home to see his teen's sporting events.

Rebuilding Together completes banner year
Not only did Rebuilding Together Geneseo/Cambridge celebrate its 15th National Rebuilding Day in April 2009 (see work day photos), we we recognized a growing number of projects and volunteers. As part of our year-end accounting, Rebuilding Together Geneseo/Cambridge completes a statistical analysis of its work. This year we completed projects for 23 homeowners, thanks to the efforts of nearly 180 volunteers who donated over 1,100 hours of construction time.
